From the previous post we’ve learned how important commenting to blogs is in getting yourself heard and making an impression. But if commenting is essential in this sense, what more to bloggers who wanted people to comment? Unfortunately, statistics have it that in 100 readers, only 1 of them comments in your blogs.

So how do you get more people to comment on your blog? Here are some internet marketing tips:

1. Invite. Ask and it shall be given, right?! If you give your readers the impression that you needed their opinion, more likely those people will do. However, you might need to provide some instructions on how leave comments on your website as there are reasonably a number of readers who are not familiar with leaving comments.
2. Ask. Ending your post with questions like “what do you think?”, “do you agree?”, and other related questions can also help in making people comment on your blog. By asking, you are opening a chance for your readers to provide their insights.
3. Interact. When someone leaves you a comment, comment back. Whether you express your gratitude for the commenter or express your agreement or otherwise, will help in building relationship with your readers.
4. Be Humble. Some readers comment when they see something wrong (sometimes with facts, typo and grammatical errors). Be humble to accept your mistakes and make necessary corrections. Do inform them, too when those corrections have already been made.
5. Be Controversial. Get people talk about your post. Nothing raises one’s interest to comment than a topic that intrigues them and triggers their emotions.

As a reader myself, reading comments from blog posts are as important as the post itself. Why? Simply because it is quite interesting to know how others think about the article we just read, the more intriguing and insightful the comment is from one commenter, the more likely I would like to hear more of that person.

And so, to this effect, for today’s internet marketing training tip, I tell you to comment on blogs and do well with it.

You see commenting on blogs is not just about getting heard and looking into the topic in your perspective, more than that, it opens a room for one to build a community within the post.

Any internet marketing training would tell you that to succeed in the internet business world, you would have to get yourself known and be connected to many. Though blog comments, you affect other people through your opinion while reaching out to them, too. Some people comment to be cathartic, some to sound cynical, and some satirical, but whichever way, these comments do leave marks and impression to its readers; and in a way this leaves a certain brand for yourself, too.

You may get into the nerves into other people or may inspire them, but either way, you have just made yourself one step closer getting yourself succeeding in your online marketing endeavor.
